Sylosis are a Thrash/Melodic Death metal band from Reading in the UK. they formed in 2000 and have 2 EPs and 1 album out.
i recently discovered this band from my friend and i think they're awesome. they're like Thrash metal but with harsher vocals. hence the Thrash/melodic death metal genre.
if you like stuff like Bullet for my valentine, killswitch engage, metallica etc i would recommend you give them a listen.

From your description it sounds good, mostly a combination of melodic death and thrash metal create metalcore, so it sounds kinda like what Bullet do... I'll try and see :D
