WORKING ON MUSIC

Cone has been in LA with us putting down his bass parts on about 6 new songs. I’m not sure how many songs we’ve got but we have way more than I expected we would have at this point. For some reason I’m writing songs really fast right now. Everything so far has been really easy and really fun. I can’t wait for you guys to hear this new music.
it looks like we may have music out sooner than we thought. We’ll keep you updated.

This is awesome, though I'm still not getting my hopes too high up just because the last time Deryck said, "I can’t wait for you guys to hear this new music," he made Underclass Hero.

But from the sounds of those update videos, the songs sound more mature.

Damn, Deryck is the man, he like updates us every day! And if he misses it one day and leaves us a day without an update we can always count on him or Cone on the myspace to answer some questions about their progress haha.
Its so fuckin' great that they update that much and that Deryck says its all going great and he writes the songs really fast (isn't this how AKNF and DTLI we're born? really fast? although I think DTLI was kinda under pressure), and that they have lots of songs and that it seems to be out sooner than they expected, that is kickass!!
Well, If Cone layed the bass on 6 tracks and all, it means they basically completed 6 songs and thats an EP for you, but hey... they continue working, so that means more songs = full-length album

Didn't he already talk about Cone laying bass tracks for the earlier songs? 6 songs or 12?

At first i wasnt all that excited, but then i heared those background songs, and WOW. just wow, they sound great. Just today i sat down and listened to DTLI? and it is better than i remember, so Im sure a "mix of dtli? and chuck" will kick ass. Im excited but i wont listen to any leeks etc, only the single (if theres one) and the disc once i buy it.

Yeah, I thought he had mentioned something about Cone laying down bass back in December? Maybe he means theres six new tracks on top of the seven original ones which were supposed to make up the EP and Cone is recording bass for the new songs now too. It fairly looks like it has turned into a full length at this stage
