there is this one girl in my marketing class, who knows i exist, but thats pretty much it

I say you should've asked her out face to face. But if she says, "Yes" to your Facebook message, make sure you talk to her the next day, like, the moment you see her. Just ask her simple small-talk stuff like how her day was, how shitty last nights homework was... etc. If you don't talk to her right a way, she will probably think something's up because you asked her out, but you won't talk to her after sort of thing.

Anyways, best of luck man. I've asked girls out via email (I was only 12, but still) and the result wasn't ever the one I hoped. I have no regrets, but I'm sure girls like it when they're asked in person. It shows them you have confidence and aren't afraid to be rejected.

If she doesn't reply to your message tonight, I would still try to talk to her tomorrow. Because she might think it's weird if you don't bring it up the next day.
