wow good to see this show getting some love overseas... brilliantly funny series but i was wondering how successful it would be in appealing to a non aussie audience given so much of it is based on sort of 'in-jokes' that mostly only aussie youth would fully appreciate...

nah... currently there's no second series and there hasnt been any confirmation of one being in the pipelines as yet either.
There was a dance version of the song Naughty Girl by Mr G released after the series you can probably find the video clip on youtube. Aside from that you can check out Chris Lilley's first series We Can Be Heroes, its a mockumentary that follows 5 nominees for Australian of the Year and is where the character of Ja'mie in Summer Heights was taken from. Also if you can manage to find clips from it, Chris used to do sketches on a show called Big Bite, the character of Mr G was originally one of his regular sketch characters on there.

I'm bumping this because Chris Liley's new show Angry Boys started over here a couple of weeks ago, and it's brilliant. anyone else seen it? anyone else here a Chris Lilley fan?

I only saw the first episode because I have been doing something every Wednesday since there, but it was hilarious. He should make a show about Nathan and Daniel (think that's their names lol)

But yeah it's a great show. I think I still like We Can Be Heroes the most, but certain characters from the next 2 are really funny.

I think Summer Heights High is my favourite, though I did watch that before We Can Be Heroes so that might explain it. Angry Boys has been fantastic so far, I love all the characters apart from the skaters mum, she just pisses me off now!

I just fucking love Nathan lol, and their whole group of friends how they're just some bogan scrubs that act like the epitome of bogan. I know they're acting that way on purpose but they do it so well..
