Spamming section

I have a problem that i belive that has a good point with it......
Let's start to think with logic here.....
Whats the point of the section????
To fill up the forum with spam?????
Is this what we want???? A forum full of spam...????

Fact: 30% of recent posts have been spam and it's not even been one day...

I think this is a section that needs to be deleted....
The reason i liked this site is because of NO SPAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Though, i will say. that a lot of the posts made OUTSIDE of it are kind of spam, tomhoppus being king of it (no offense bro ) you being next ( ) then me and others.

hate to say it but im gonna have to agree with soccer. i love having a spam section cuz we can post any shit we want no matter what and not get bannned but it is kinda pointless having it.

we shouldn't be spamming our forum guys.

Well, I browsed through the Spam Forum for a couple of minutes and most the current topics there all seem to have some sort of depth to them. There's at least something to talk about.

I'll probably never post in that section and I do think it's pointless to some degree. First of all, unless you're using it to chat or play some sort of forum game, you're basically wasting your time. Think about it, posting nonsensical one-word posts randomly for half an hour is a waste of time because you don't get anything out of it.

If you use the Spam Forum to chat, do you also use the chat box at the bottom of the Index?

spamming can take other forms though, like endless quote pyramids, or people commenting on topics that they have 'no comment'.

eg, when there's a topic in the wrong section, and everyone has to say wrong section, when one will do.

but that's just part of forums you know, people get huge post counts for saying stupid/random/useless shit, so it's kinda expected :)

yea, but at least it will separate the shit from the decent stuff. i think that stuff posted in the spam section should not appear on the main page under the latest forum topics. therefore, if you wanna look at useless drivel, you have to hunt for it yourself.

yea, but at least it will separate the shit from the decent stuff. i think that stuff posted in the spam section should not appear on the main page under the latest forum topics. therefore, if you wanna look at useless drivel, you have to hunt for it yourself.

I hope that the Spam Section will seperate spam from normal discussion. But I don't think it'll be fully resolved. People can still chain quote and do all that sort of stuff that involves no contribution to the discussion outside of the Spam forum. It just seems like the Spam Section is another refuge to post spam except you don't feel guilty or look stupid when it's done because everyone is doing it.

I am just showing that more than half of the people find the forum better w/o a spam section....
I was just bring it to your attention that not everyone agrees with the actions.... and even if you don't change it back, these votes that say yes will show all the people you made a little less happy....
