It's hard to say exactly now, but lots of their solos have this unique sound of Iron Maiden solos, which is good cuz Maiden rocks!

Oh, some riffs of BB remind me of Diamond Head, but again its good, cuz Dave said many time, the music in the album influenced by many NWOBHM bands like Diamond Head and Iron Maiden.

Well, he did say he was throwing in some Iron Maiden and Deep Purple in.

The solos are very Maiden style but as i said, its good!

I have said before. Supposedly Dave said that this is a cover song but I don't know of what.

I remember in one of Megadeth's songs there's "Sleep walk off to work" in the lyrics, just like in Purebread.

Also the intro to "Last Writes" sounds like the intro to Anthrax's "I am the law"

Yeah i just listened to it again, and it really sounds like Iron Man.

Strangley enough i started playing absent mindedly playing iron man on guitar while i was just listening to last rights earlier. Before just reading this thread i didn't even know the name of the song or who it was by.

well hey ashley you got the letter from dave, we ARE allowed to post some songs on here if we want to give people a listen.

I'm sure he's heard them, they are available for free listen on that greeting card and such...he's just waiting on the album he bought, like a good fan who supports the band haha.

Dave has said in loads of interviews he grew up listening to the likes of iron maiden, metallica etc etc... so its easy to see where he gets his influence wile soloing... dont get me wrong hes a fantastic guitar player and his solos kick-ass... but tbh.. guitarists really need they'r own sound and style to be memorable... lets hope he does... then who knows.. 10-20 years time we'l have bands saying they'r totaly influenced by BrownSound!
