what's your all time favorite bass intro or bass solo ever.

mine has to be from the red hot chilli peppers, the intro to "me and my friends"

I love the bass intro to Nirvana's Lounge Act.
I also like the bass solo in Fear of a Brown Planet by Brown Brigade.
