"yeah i went to LA to rehearse with the guys. I'm going down in late nov. as well.
Had a gob show in calgary for halloween, it was super fun.
I've been writing, we will be recording a gob record in jan/feb."
will that put things behind on the sum record or do they think it will be done by then?
There's a chance they won't need Tom for a lot of the recordings. Especially if Deryck wrote most of the riffs anyway.
Cool. But if Sum 41 and Gob both have new albums around, how is that gonna work?
Gotta tour, ya know?

Yeah, Sum 41 & Gob touring together could be awesome. They did so back in 2004 or 2005 I think, thats how they got to know Tom. Anyway, I bet Sum 41 will tour first and then when they'll have a time out between legs Gob will tour cuz Gob don't do big tours anyway and mostly tour around Canada, and a little bit of the US.

I mean, Muertos Vivos was released in late 2007 but because Tom was touring with Sum 41 all the time, they only did a proper Canadian tour in January 2009.

gob hasn't done a gig outside canada after craig left and their europe tour got cancelled in 2004. and when craig left they only did a odd gig there and there with john from by a thread as a bassist. until they started recording muertos vivos, of course.

gob and sum41 did touring together last time 2002, or something like that. gob was touring mostly with avril and some gigs with guttermouth and simple plan in 2003 so they didn't tour with sum41 then.

Oh my bad, I thought they toured with Sums around 2004-2005, I thought I read that somewhere. Anyway, did Gob tour Europe sometime in the end or not? I never heard about them performing outside US and Canada, which is too bad cuz they are awesome.

no they didn't. i'm pretty sure they tried to negotiate an us and europe tour again in 2007 but it didn't happen though.

Wow, thats too bad. Gob are awesome! They deserve to play outside Canada and the US. Sum 41 should really take them with them when they tour Europe in support of the new album in 2010.

They toured with Avril in Canada on the Try to Shut Me Up tour '02

on her DVD she and Leo get stuck in a locker, you can see Tom in the vid too. I'm pretty sure Theo carried her on his shoulders during a performance too, wearing a I "heart" avril shirt

but a tour with Sum41 would be much better, the crowed would know what was going on..lol

Gob and Avril also both appeared in the movie "Going The Distance", along with one of the Sums songs on the soundtrack.

Brown Tom is awesome. I wish he wasn't so introverted when it comes to interviews. I was kind of mad when he was hiding when Sum 41 was making that 'rehersal video'.

I know its kinda weird that Tom is so outgoing, but reserved during interviews and such

They were better off with Dave. I really wasn't impressed with underclass hero, the songs sounded to pre recorded to me, but thats just me talking.
