I Like the checkered board part. I hate the top of it. I like the shape of Deryck's way better. And I think it's kind of copying him with the signature at the top. Because I've seen several custom guitars from celebs and the ones I looked at don't look anything like Deryck's or that bullshit.

Here's a similar guitar that's a signature guitar from someone else. But it's a Fender and has a different headstock.

Signature guitars can have the same shape. Tom's guitar has been used, and over used. Billie Joe's signature guitar is nothing out of this world [when I say that I mean as the body's shape].

If you know about guitars you should know that the material [the type of wood], the # of frets, the weight and the pick-ups change.

Anyways... Squire sucks, no matter if its a signature or a cheap, trashed, used one. Squire guitars sound the same, almost always.

If you're gonna try to get a Deryck signature I recommend you to change the neck, pickups and strings right away.

Btw, best guitar brands: Ibanez [I use em, woot!], Gibson, Epiphone, Fender [not Squire], B.C. Rich [Although they look too gothic for me], and there are a few more.... But I recommend you to try the guitar first and then buy it... So don't buy off the internet unless you've tried the guitar... Why? Well, every guitarist is different and may need different things. My friend made the horrible mistake of buying an Epiphone Dot and it's too big/heavy for him and he doesn't like the sound that much.

believe me, weight is very important.
my 10 year old cousin bought an SG recently and he can hardly stand up while playing!

on the other hand. my bass is as light as fuck! you wouldnt even feel it.
great to use especially i you do a lot of running about during shows etc.
oh, and its a squier.

my point is:

avril's tele sucks!

Haha. My guitar [Ibanez GAX-75] is light as fuck. I love it. And it's sooo small I can easily pull out licks on it.

yes she can play guitar,and the guitar is awesome,but i prefer deryck one itÃ‚Â´s cheaper and i like the desing more than avril ones,but i love both

I've played Deryck's and it's awesome for me that is.
Maybe not to some uptight bullshit people, but hey I've been playing guitar for almost a year and I'm still kind of new to it.

The check pickguard looks awesome but the inlay is absolutely EWW lol

I've never really been a fan of Fenders at all tho, the only fender i really like is Derycks. The sound is awesome but ive never ever liked the headstock.. it scares me.

I think the guitar could be even more beautiful if the pickguard wasn't black and white but 'this red" and white. Yupz.

EDIT: Btw, Ibanez guitars = ftmfcsw!!!
