I think The Happiness Machines are a cover band and Deryck might be doing a couple shows with them. Or it could be like what The Living End did and just performed under a different name to test new songs/surprise shows.

Although I can totally imagine this could be his post-Sum 41 band name, reminds me of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. :)

Ofc, I prefer Sum 41. B)

Hey D, you say in your instagram post that you want to know what we would like to hear so, this is my list: Happiness Machine (obviously because it's my Sum 41 favorite song), Noots, Speak Of The Devil, Subject to Change, I'm Not The One, Open Your Eyes, Best Of Me. And if you can, some new songs haha!.

I would've picked 'Deryck Whibley and The Dark Road of Hell'.

That would be so meaningful. Looking at what you've been through (the alcohol stuff)

Anybody else had a thought that these shows would be a perfect chance to hear Dave play the lead guitar on Sum 41 songs live again after a very long time? Just saying. :silly:

I relate strongly to this.

Glad to hear that it's just a warm up for Sum 41, was kind of worried. But also super excited to see who he brings out to play with him.

This dude knows more.

Wouldn't surprise me if he did though. Didn't they already have this few jam sessions when D was recovering?

It'd be really cool if Dave played lead guitar. I still hope Steve returns at some point.
