I'd like to hear other people's opinions on this!

Do you guys here at TNS think Sum 41 will record another album, or do you think it's time for them all to move on to something different?

I think Sum 41 will probably record another album but I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they didn't. regardless Deryck will probably be writing music with or without Sum 41.

Yes they will.
Why, because Deryck said so.

In a perfect world..

I figure they'll release at least 1 more album together.

Wow some fans we have here! Well from the answers Deryck gave he's obviously working on new music (or at least the beginning stages), and he just has to find a new drummer. Deryck said probably 2 more years until an album comes out.

I honestly believe Steve will return to Sum 41. Maybe not right away or even in time for their next album, but I don't believe he is done with the band permanently. Not after all they've been through together and the fact that their lives have been built around Sum 41.

I've been thinking the same thing. I think Stevo will return in due time. He'll most likely do what Brownsound did and just appear at a show and play a song or two.

Deryck said that he's in the beginning stages of writing new songs, so I'd say that leads to another album, I just want the Acoustic verion of Blood in My Eyes to come out already.

I'd like to believe that, especially because he still has yet to explain WHY he left. It all still just seems so...unofficial.

The most logical thing I can think of being the reason why he left would be to go raise his kid, which is fair enough.

Personally, don't know about Stevo, I don't know the details so giving an educated guess would be wasteful but I do think there will be a new album, not any time soon though.

yeah I do feel the same, still all these people on facebook and twitter are already getting on my tits commenting under every single one of steve's posts/pictures that he has to come back to the sums. It's brownsound all over again...

"It's Brownsound all over again" that is exactly what it is. Everyone's comments on Facebook and Twitter are really annoying me, I wish they'd just leave Steve alone about leaving. We got over Dave's departure, we will get over Stevo's.
