So what he's got enough money to buy another one.
Sure it might have some personal value for him, but accidents happen.

Hence why, if I ever fly, I'd be worried over my belongings.

They better "reach out to him". Unfortunate!

I'm not sure where this "Sum 41 is rich" mentality has come from. Sure, Deryck has hell of a lot of money, but I don't think that's the case with the rest of the band. Especially Tom, who hasn't been credited in the album making excluding the SBM single. So I don't think he would just pick new guitars just like that.

EDIT:

Why does he not get American Air to pay for the fix?

Even though if Tom would have tons of money,
there is no reason to waste it on an accident caused by the company. And now it's also acknowledged by the company. So they should take responsibility as a company.

He should get compensation for it.

I don't know what you Europeans do when youre luggage gets damage, but in North America there's usually nothing the victim can do. Unless they rip the airline out on twitter, apparently.

He should start playing an olympic white Deryck Whibley signature Squier! Then they'll be cool and matchy.

They behave to the luggage like shit. It's the same as Czech post. And I believe almost every post.
