I'm assuming it was their asshole management.
fuck this signature nonsense
Re: Sum 41 live show online! :)
This is kinda weird. My guess is that it's either their management or then Deryck or someone of the band is in such a bad shape that the performance won't be good so they don't want it broadcasted.. Whatever the reason this still sucks. =/

The date should have been about watching the stream together.SumGeek wrote:LOL. Sum 41 > anything. Sorry about your luck there, though!darkroxi wrote:I cancelled a date to watch this shit.

More DTLI stuff? I'm gonna be super pissed if they whipped out Thanks For Nothing. I've been waiting years to hear that shit played right.

Unfortunately (for you it's fortunately) you didn't miss anything. It was really a badass performance, they played every song very well and energetically, but... it felt really short. They started with Hell Song, I think it could be a sign that it would be a short show (otherwise they would play Reason to Believe, I think).
They didn't play anything new, but I was very glad to hear Billy Spleen, it was awesome! Oh, and No Brain, I love it! But I'm kinda sad and disappointed there wasn't Reason to Believe (or at least Back Where I Belong from SBM), Pieces or No Reason and they just stopped after (as I remember) Fat Lip, no encore at all, no Exit Song or Pain for Pleasure.
So the show itself was really awesome (and I could watch it better place than last year, although I didn't bring camera and my mobile sucks; and they chose a guy to the stage who was in front of me, I'm so jealous :P), but I wasn't satisfied about the setlist. Maybe it's because they weren't the last show that night, they had to hurry. Whatever, maybe next time. :)

Don't be sad. Festival sets are always shorter than headlining shows, especially if they aren't the main act. Glad they still included Billy Spleen!Iam The Ghost wrote:Unfortunately (for you it's fortunately) you didn't miss anything. Re: Sum 41 live show online! :)
I still wonder why they cancelled the live broadcast. There's a short review on Sziget Festival website and they got a little negative respond (from the organizers, not the visitors). It's really ridiculous, 'cause they say the sound was "slashy", Deryck was boring and he didn't encourage too much the people... which aren't true at all. :P And then they mention they don't understand why the fans were so enthusiastic, lol...
I suppose something could have happened between the band and the organizers. It would be good to ask them what the reason was they cancelled it.

That makes sense, organizers are usually cunts.Gregorovich wrote:The organisers are cunts?Iam The Ghost wrote:I suppose something could have happened between the band and the organizers. It would be good to ask them what the reason was they cancelled it.
As far as i can tell Deryck doesn't deal with cunts just like the way US doesn't negotiate with terrorists

I'd just like to think so because it brings peace to my angry mind that's the reason they cancelled the stream..

You can see Deryck and Cone at 3:44 and 4:11, but just for a moment
Still sad the live broadcast didn't happen.
