I've been trying to get into vinyl. I have a rather small collection, but my record player's busted anyway, so it doesn't matter.

+44 - When Your Heart Stops Beating (blue swirl)
Bird by Bird - While You Sleep (white vinyl)
Madina Lake - House of Cards/Again and Again 7" single
Sum 41 - We're All To Blame/Noots 7" single
Versus the World - Drink. Sing. Live. Love. (translucent yellow)

I actually made a list of all the vinyl I want to get, but it's on hold until I get a working record player. i have it all on my iPod anyway so in the end it's mostly novelty.

I want Futures, more than life itself! One of my favorite albums ever.

I just bought Say Anything "Anarchy My Dear" and Head Automatica "Decadence". The first is on red transparent vinyl, the second blue/green transparent... pretty cool.

Which players do you guys use? I'm looking for one which can reproduce both modern and classic rock really well.

I don't think it's worth that much to be honest, I only paid £15 for it a couple of years ago.

Look up on google, Jimmy Eat World Futures Vinyl... the only places I saw that were trying to sell it were secondary sellers (people that are collectors, trying to buy and sell for a profit), and they were pricing it up around $100 US. Maybe what I saw was a first edition, and you have a second or third edition print, but who knows... Deja Entendu starts at a price around $200 and it doesn't matter if it's a 1st or 2nd press or anything like that.

Yesterday, in the end, I purchased the following:

Say Anything - Anarchy, My Dear (Red transparent)
Head Automatica - Decadence (Blue/Green transparent)
Thursday - A City By The Light Divided (I can't really explain it... real cool looking, I'll post a pic)
The Early November - In Currents (White)

In Currents came with a download card, if anyone here wants to check out that record I will hook you up with the download code and you can hear it. It's a seriously amazing record, so I recommend someone take me up on the offer! Haha.

I used to have Deja Entendu, bought it for £23 and sold it for £80 on ebay!

I have no idea what press my Futures record is, might have to look into it.

I just purchased Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends.

I'm close to buying +44 - When Your Heart Stops Beating, Say Anything - Is A Real Boy, Straylight Run - Self titled, and Boys Night Out - Make Yourself Sick. I'm also thinking I am receiving a Blink album as a gift sometime, so we'll keep an eye out for that!

I didn't end up winning WYHSB! I pussied out after the bidding on it reached over 20 dollars.

I did, however, end up getting the following for sure:

Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon, light blue vinyl.
Straylight Run - Straylight Run, brown vinyl.
Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends, clear with black smoke vinyl.
Boys Night Out - Make Yourself Sick, blue vinyl. (This one I plan to give to my friend.)

My friend is going to give me the new Further Seems Forever - Penny Black, orange/red marble vinyl.

Also, I just made a PayPal account, and I have verified everything. If anyone here is interested in selling any of their vinyl, post it in this thread! I'd rather purchase vinyl from you guys than someone random. The one negative would be that some of you live far away from me. We could try to work something out! :)

I've purchased the majority of my vinyl collection at Hot Topic. You'd be surprised how many good albums get pressed by Hot Topic. Online places I'd suggest are eBay, Amazon, Classifieds section at AbsolutePunk, Vinyl trading/selling/collecting websites/forums, InterPunk.com, and of course record label webstores... Victory Records sells a lot of vinyl on their website. I purchased Tell All Your Friends there.

i've bought my vintage vinyl and some of my new albums from independent record stores. others have been official/amazon pre orders, ebay and HMV order. i do not recommend getting new vinyl from HMV, they charge way too much.

Got me some new/old vinyl the other day, obviously more rush.

Rush - "Archives" (1978) -greatest hits/boxset-type 3 vinyl set including their first three albums "Rush, "Fly by Night" and "Caress of Steel".
Rush - "Exit Stage Left..." (Live album from 1981)

I will make Bobbyjames sell me his Jimmy Eat World records if it's the last thing I do.

What is HMV?
