Nice playing My Direction, that song rules live. But seriously why would you not play Fat Lip...it's so great to jump to and one of those songs you kinda just "have" to play, like Dammit for blink-182.

Pretty mediocre show as far as I can tell, the vocals weren't that great and he forgot the lyrics again..
The we will rock you cover was pretty epic though.

Well, for the bands I've seen live, Green Day, Good Charlotte and The Black Pacific tend to play covers in their live shows. Not more than 1 or 2 though.

I don't recall Green Day ever doing live covers apart from Shout and My Generation, which the band have released in albums anyway.

Shout has only been released in their live albums, so yes, I consider it being a cover song played live. Plus, they always play some kind of medley inside that song, including songs such as Satisfaction by Rolling Stones or Hey Jude by The Beatles.
Also, in their outdoor shows during the Summer of 2010 they used to play a short version of Kiss Me Deadly by Generation X at the start of the encore.

Judging from that Taipei compilation video, I didn't really notice him forgetting any lyrics. Maybe one time tops.
Unless you count the part where he has changed the "Dont' think that it exists" part to "Don't believe it exists" in Reason To Believe. I wouldn't consider it a mess-up, but it would be better if Tom sang the same lyrics as the backing vocals. :silly:

Green Day played Johnny B Goode

And cool vids. The crowd looks pretty tame, when I saw them I almost got raped in the crowd by masked men. I kinda wish our crowds weren't so nuts lol.

I hope they come back here some time before the tour after their next album. Really wanna see them again.

They've only done one UK tour since 2008. Not happy.

Man I drove up 4 hours on the day to the venue and they canceled, it sucked so fucking bad. We just got depressed and drank in the streets and sung Oasis with a busker. Fuckin' Sum 41.

I have to admit, that does suck massive dick. Still, day not completely wasted, eh?

Back on topic, they really need to keep BIME and Skumfuk in their sets. Those songs are real killers live.

Green Day has covered many many songs. But they usually only do bits and pieces of the songs

Not much of a fan of the studio version, but when they play that song live and the crowd goes insane, you know it's gonna be one of the best moments of the show. I experienced that twice, it creates this amazing atmosphere.
I have to agree. I would be disappointed if I was at that show. Fat Lip is my favourite to hear live. You almost get the same feeling when In Too Deep is played live but not quite as much compared to when Fat Lip is.

I think they should give up the covers (except of Master of Puppets cause that one is awesome)
and put songs such as Crash, BIME, RTB, Skumfuk. 88 in there.

They should rotate covers like they do with some of their songs. The real solution is just to bust out a bigger setlist, add in 3 to 5 more songs or something.

Except for Skumfuk. They replaced it with fucking My Direction in Shanghai. :suicide:

I really loved their version of We Will Rock You. They should keep it there for a while. And even though the Metal Mayhem is getting a bit boring, it's their way to have some fun themselves, so I don't see that getting cut off anytime soon.

The only option would be playing longer setlists. But as I don't see that happening, I think it's a good sign if they really dropped Fat Lip out. It's been over 10 years since AKNF, so I think it's time to allow them not to play all the AKNF singles and play some new ones instead.
