The Menzingers

Here's a band for you guys to check out. If you're a fan of The Gaslight Anthem (especially circa Sink or Swim) then you will more than likely enjoy these guys. They're a punk band and they just recently put out an album called "On the Impossible Past". I'll show you a few of my favorite tracks from the album and you can tell me what you think.

I heard of them before, I just don't really care them. Nothing special.

Love these guys. They're a hell of a lot better than The Gaslight Anthem (fuckin' Bruce Springsteen wannabees) have ever been. Got into them a little before they released Chamberlain Waits. OTIP definitely didn't disappoint me. In fact, I think it's the best they've ever done.

By the way, I think TGA are okay, but they've gotten progressively more boring/Bruce Springsteen-y with each album. I should be happy that a decent band is getting attention, but the hype surrounding them makes me angry for some reason. Probably because they really aren't anything special.
