Now- This is the first album I've lived, since I joined the Sum 41 movment in late 2007. I heard Underclass Hero & all their other stuff little by little, so- if SBM is "not enough" to you guys, I cant argue a point because I never "experinced" any other album....But SBM SATIFISFIES :2cool4u: . I love it. Absolutetly think its the greatest thing the world has ever seen. No- TFYTG and BYDWK dont fit the album, but they're cool songs. I dont think they're as good as any of the others on the album- but they're still GREAT! All you guys just have to remember the little details and moments from the album. I personally think SBM offers majority of Sum 41's best moments in their songs. Just think of all the little details that seperates this album from all their previous work. In which in my opinion makes it their best work yet. :glad: oh god i love you sum 41.....

Jaja sorry dude but Sum 41 IS NOT THE SAME without him.
and you want them to be?
I'm just saying that 25% of Sum 41 is gone (Dave) and you can notice it listening UH or SBM
underclass hero would have been released the way it has been with or without dave .. the only things that would have been different would be the soloing ... dave was indeed a big part of sum 41 .. but he was imo just a big part of their on stage presence ... it was deryck writing all the material from the start ... and it was mentioned several times before (even dave said it) that all that dave did was the soloing ... people really need to get over this whole dave thing ... it has been discussed way too many times :suicide:

The song has grown on me a lot and it's pretty much like an outro to Back Where I Belong. Also it fits the whole mood of the album whereas the rock and roll songs are more upbeat than the rest.

Not just that... I feel like it's a slipping away pt 2. (But Slipping Away obviously beats it)

I've always agreed with that, imo, UH is their best lyrically, vocally, artistically and cohesively. But as its been said in this thread, SBM have more "wow" moments

I keep trying to get D to answer that Q&A so we can find out about the "I don't believe in ignorance no more, ourselves we deceive" I love that line and wish it had made it on the album. I like Time and Baby, they have good energy, but if they already had more songs recorded why not throw them on the album too. So yeah I agree, it would have been nice if they made it longer

It's funny, kind of almost a year after the album was released now we're in that situation when all the songs have been listened to for 200+ times and we need new material :hehe:

But reality is, they haven't even started the actual tour for the album.. :suicide:

i don't get your point. yes, Dave is gone. yes, they sound different. is there anything we can do about it? fuck no, so stop bringing it up and worrying about it. who are we to say that Dave needs to come back so that we can have "old sum 41" back. "old" sum 41 is dead. deal with it.
Jaja, take it easy dude. I've never said that Dave needs to come back to Sum 41. I'm just saying that part of the "original Sum 41" is gone that's it.
It's just different! That's all! If YOU think that Sum 41 are better now, or they are dead or something, thats all YOUR point of view. Yes, we can't change it. so? We are in this topic to talk about it

I don't care about the whole Dave thing as long as they don't act like it's Tom's fault that Dave left the band

Deryck can write good riffs, BIME perfectly shows that, solos obviously good but not as great but if people want to complain then complain about Dave because it was his choice to leave when the rest of the band still needed him

I love SBM but yes, there are many songs that were in our expectations, like 'I don't believe in ignorance no more, ourselves we deceive' apparently that song they were working on it, in an update, Deryck is playing the same rhythm on guitar. Well as two piano song (I can't remember how many were) that never was heard on the album only in the updates and finally a song that had a very dark vibe in 'Don't Try This At Home', of the little we could see and hear of the recording process. I hope that one day these songs can see the light and we can hear, as an album or a compilation of b-sides or demos

This! It sounds so epic. Especially with Deryck speaking.
