^^ some funny hate comments to read :hehe:
Some weird, weird people with some weird, weird comments.

There's something seriously wrong with this world when there are comments like "omg if you dont have a tan dont wear black". Californication at it's finest.

Nothing but criticism.

although i can;t understand a single lyric in White Limo, it is the only song that should have beaten Blood in My Eyes. Im glad Foo Fighters won, the more grammys they win the better it is for Rock music in general.

I really wish the Sums would've won.. but i think they were all really happy just to be nominated and if anything, it might push deryck to make some really fucking great "grammy worthy" music, that he is totally capable of. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the Foo Fighters, but its great that a rock band is achieving this sort of critical acclaim in today's age of shitty rap/pop music.

Dave Grohl gave a pretty sick speech after winning the best Rock performance Grammy. Considering they made a lot of their last album in his garage, he dissed technology and computers in music a lot. And of course, as the outro to his speech they started playing some bits of Party Rock Anthem. F***ing pathetic

Foo's last album was boring for me and recording the way they did didn't exactly help it. Kinda wish someone else won even if it wasn't Sum 41.

"All this machinery making modern music, can still be open hearted.
Not so coldly charted, its really just a question of your honesty.
One likes to believe in the freedom of music,
but glittering prizes and endless compromises
Shatter the illusion of integrity."

-Rush, The Spirit of Radio, 1980

totally agreed. i mean why else would artists like nicki minaj even be nominated? For compelling and intricate songs such as this one?

To be fair, the last Foo Fighters album was the best thing they've made since '97. It's nice they went back to their roots, as their stuff was pretty much fading in with the other generic rock bands of recent years. That being said, Foo Fighters was never "Nirvana". They all hail from pretty legit 90's alternative/ punk/ emo bands, and that's really the reason why they're respected, since pretty much every other 90s band dismantled or faded away.

It's always been a popularity contest. Even long ago when talented bands walked the earth.

Well LMFAO are intetionally parodying/milking the mainstream music industry because they know how bullshit it is, so it's hilarious more than pathetic. I wonder if someone was smart enough to play that song because Dave was up there, or if they just randomly picked it.
