I freaked out when I found out my favorite game was finally releasing some Sum 41 DLC =D

I can't wait to play them =)
Hey gang,

Canadian punk rock group Sum 41 got their first taste of success in 2001 with their single “Fat Lip,” off of their first full-length studio record, All Killer, No Filler. The group found similar success a year later with their follow-up record, Does This Look Infected?, with the lead single “Still Waiting” making waves on the Billboard charts.

Tears for Fears had a string of hits in the '80s, winning over audiences with its New Wave pop sound. “Head Over Heels,” the third single off of 1985’s highly-successful Songs from the Big Chair, reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Available on Xbox 360, Wii™and PlayStation®3 system (January 31st, 2012):

* Sum 41 – “Fat Lip” X
* Sum 41 – “Still Waiting”
* Tears for Fears – “Head Over Heels” O

(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation®3 system February 1st)

Tracks marked with “O” feature support for keyboards; tracks marked with “X” will offer Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.

Price:

$1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points™) per song
$0.99 USD (100 Wii Points™/80 Microsoft Points), £0.59 UK, €0.79 EU per song for eligible Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade

I was stoked too! I mean finally some DLC for Rock Band!

Then I became bummed as the same songs are available on Guitar Hero 5.

I don't play the GH series, so I don't mind. However, I do understand the disappointment with the song selection.

Cool! I'll have a reason to start playing Rock Band (and videogames in general) again!

I Jessica Kill was one of the DLC packs then I might have been interested. Not to much with Still Waiting and Fat Lip.

What the hell? THEY STILL MAKE DLC PACKS FOR THIS GAME?!!??

Wow, that's insane... I seriously had no idea! Good for you, fans of Sum 41, finally able to play their songs on Rock Band! That's kind of awesome.

I got excited thinking maybe SBM, BIME, JK...........no. Old songs that I already have on Guitar Hero which is probably harder on there than Rock Band. They have to have newer/different songs. I'll even play Pieces.

Rock Band has vocal Harmonies, something that GH doesn't have. So Fat Lip should be more fun on Rock Band at least... There is also the pro guitar for Fat Lip, but I bet the good majority on this forum already know how to play the song on guitar/bass (for those that play bass/guitar).

Although I get your point on not spending money on the same songs for different games.

Edit: Pro Guitar and Pro Bass

They've been releasing Rock Band DLC every week since the game came out in 2007, I'm pretty sure. Needless to say, since this is the first Sum 41 pack, and it's hardly even a pack with 2 songs, I imagine it will be awhile before we see some more tracks from them.

I can't say I'm surprised that Fat Lip and Still Waiting ended up as the songs on this download pack. They should have at least added We're All to Blame and/or Pieces. I wouldn't expect any Underclass Hero or Screaming Bloody Murder tracks though.

I could see Underclass Hero (the song) or even WD being on Rock Band/Guitar Hero, they kinda got known back when they were released, plus they're very radio friendly and catchy. I wouldn't expect anything from SBM to appear on any of these games though haha.

It was in Lego Rock Band which is exportable to the main series(new, not used because codes can be used once).

The reason that it's Fat Lip and Still Waiting and not other songs is because they're the most popular ones, or at least are the most popular in Rock Band's eyes. RB is in the business of selling a product, and while a different song may be cooler to play on Guitar, drums, whatever, they just aren't going to sell. This even applies to Underclass Hero... that song, as well as the rest of the album cannot stand near the popularity that Sum 41 had on their first couple releases.

I would have liked to see The Hell Song, because I loved playing that opening riff. Obviously it doesn't matter to me because I don't play Rock Band, but if I did, that's one of the songs I'd choose to play!

Vocal parts don't look that exciting. Mostly just shouts, especially in Still Waiting.

This is the model that Harmonix is currently using. They have to use this models since people view Rock Band as a dead game ever since GH went down. Even though it isn't because Rock Band gets weekly support of DLC =)

I was also a bit disappointed with the talkies... They did the same thing with Feeling This =/
