what TV-Show do you find the smartest, with the smartest words used, or where the crew had to do a lot of research to make the show original and intelligent ...

my choice would be X-Files, I watch House MD in English language, without subtitles, so I watched Prison Break, Misfits, Band Of Brothers, Taken, NCIS and other shows, and I never really had any problems with the words used in the shows, but The X-Files are exceptional, and I admit that I need to watch X-Files with English subtitles so that I can translate the words they use, the words that come from different terminologies and they're often very edifying and uncommon ...

so, if you my dear friends can tell me any shows that are fucking smart, with intelligent humor, TV show that uses metaphors, paranoia, sarcasm and irony, tell me, cause the most recent revision of my skills in English language conducted by a very credible person showed me that X-Files have been working on it harder than anything else

I though of another one, what about Bones? It's cool.

i've only seen about a dozen episodes, but curb your enthusiasm is seriously an incredibly well-written show. like multiple little things throughout the episode that your get a laugh from will come back later and tie into the story to give you an even bigger laugh. i know it's a comedy, but that show is just straight up smart.

i warn you, to watch TBBT you better have a geeky humor, though my roomate doesn't know shit about DC or Marvel or anything videogame related, and still loves the show
