No, it's all about attitude and meaning. There's no emotion in The Jester; the vocals just follow the melody. It amuses me that people think Deryck or any member of Sum 41 would rip off a song from MCR, considering they write this stupid pseudo-maniacal music that lacks actual artistic integrity. Cool... the two choruses share maybe 2-3 matching notes with a similar beat. Rip off? nah. Same chorus? I dont think so. Ah you just seemed like you were raging a bit lol. Their image went pretty weird back then, but honestly it seemed like they were just doing it because they're weirdos, not intentionally to try get girly fanbase to like them. But seriously, that record is really good, and has really good musical parts.
