Questions about the touring

Post by Emil »

I'm wondering how planned their current touring schedule really is? Because they have one show today and then they won't do any shows as far as we know for another month when they go to Japan. After that they'll be in Europe for a month so i was thinking as much as i love them basically living in Europe right now wouldn't it be better to tour North America first to not lose the momentum of the album release over there? Because they've been selling out shows in Europe for the past year so i think Europeans would still come to the shows even if it wasn't until the fall. Because i can't see them satrting up a new NA tour right after Europe since they would have been touring non-stop for the past two months then.

They said in an interview that they'd tour, but they usually don't book very far ahead of time

Becasue we all know how lame it is to tour in japan, no one showing up at the concerts and what have you ;) but in all sierousness, i would of thought that they will at least do some shows around the sonisphere date, maybe there is still a slim chance they would play reading and leeds?

Well, if I was them I would fuckin' tour the whole month of April in the US and Canada. The album was just released and it's just the time for them to promote it around there.. especially their homeland! I know alot of Canadians are waiting for them to return and they haven't had a proper US tour since 2007.. Warped Tour was a 30 min set so it sucks.

Anyway, Stevo said in the last interview from the Glass House that these few US dates they did aren't going to be a part of a big US tour.. and that the real North American tour is happening in the fall. So I guess that after they'll do the European festival run in July-August, they'll tour Canada and the US in September.

Don't get me wrong. It's cool to see Sum 41 booking shows in places they've never visited before (Croatia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary). But why there's only few shows in their "regular" countries? And it's killing me not getting them to come here!

I still believe they should be doing a north american tour before anything else, especially since they're appearing on TV shows and such right now.
