Simple reason, because it's win.

Reasons I use it. I like the minimalistic view to web browsing. The rendering speed tends to much faster than Firefox/IE8/IE9. The web store is pretty nifty and easier to use than Mozilla marketplace. Plus, I have a Google account so I can sync everything with the browser including bookmarks and settings in-case I switch computers or use my Google Chrome Portable when I'm out and about.

To be honest, I would say just download it and try it. If you don't like it uninstall it, if you do like it keep it.

I'm using Firefox at the minute, and tbh I have no problems with it. I might just give Chrome a go over the weekend and see how I like it.

There is one reason. And one reason alone. I shall demonstrate in a few mins.

Edit - Nevermind. Just listen to Boni.

I find it easier to use than IE and googling is really quick. (Though I'm not sure whether other browsers allow you to type your words-you-want-to-google where you'd type the websites' addresses, too...)

I thought Firefox used a lot of memory but Chrome absolutely murders my PC. Not really sure why, I don't think anyone else has this issue.

if a web browser murders your PC, you need a new PC.

Chrome's memory usage varies, with one tab, chrome uses much more than Firefox, but as you have more open, it will even out and chrome will eventually start using less...

But it runs each tab, extensions and plugins as their own process, so, if one page on one tab crashes, it won't take the whole browser with it. But it can mean it uses more CPU time.

The recently closed tabs, searchable history and the top sites home page are all very nice features too.

I have the IE10 beta and it wins outright over chrome. Except it very occasionally crashes- although this will be fixed when the full version comes out.

it's 9, and I dislike it.

The only good thing about it is the Javascript speed.
Which chrome is going to cock slap in v10... Have you seen that?! omg. it's jizzworthey.

Another plus for chrome, ok, it's not widely used atm... But.

WebGL graphics are amazing. And if it takes off, could make the internet much more amazing place. It;s already much faster than java/flash

WebGL demo - only works in chrome
Java

Firefox has just as many vulnerabilities. Chrome has a fair few too, but they seem to get fixed much quicker.

That's how I was. I liked Firefox, but then I tried Chrome and liked it even more :2cool4u: .

Web browsers don't get you viruses.

Being stupid gets you them.

May not be a reason for you to get it but they are actually making an entire operating system based on the concept of the web browser. Designed manly for netbooks and more networked devices.

I downloaded it, and I like it so far. feels smoother, and looks alot nicer. I think I might stick with this over Firefox.
