I did like some parts of Echoes.., there were some good songs on there. just as a whole album, I don't enjoy it as much as some of their earlier offerings.
Yeah same for me. It has some really good songs and some that are not so much. "The Pretender" has to be one of my favorite FF songs ever, but as a whole this album wasn't good.. not as much as The Color and the Shape for example.

I got quite excited for that album when I first heard The Pretender, such an awesome song and also one of my favourite FF songs. then it came out and I was kind of let down because I was hoping for the whole album to be as rad as The Pretender!

Yeah, I was the same! Pretender was such as great first single and just a great song overall and if the whole album was with this attitude it could've been awesome, but it had too many downers and quiet songs, that's why I guess Dave said that on Wasting Light they tried to create a heavier album with no quiet tracks, although I Should Have Known is kinda mellow.

Wasting Light is very good, i love Arlandria and These Day's. Bridge Burning should of been the first single though.

i don't care what you guys say, Rope is a good first single choice. the song isn't hard-rocking like "The Pretender", but the bridge of "Rope" is fucking awesome. i think "Walk" is going to be a single, its a really good. but to be fair, all songs are good enough to be singles.

Pat doesn't count cause he's ten years older than the second oldest of them.

It's so cool the Foo Fighters do that kind of shit where they play the whole album. They did this thing at their studio (only with normal sound unlike what the Sums did with UH) and they also played it at some Australian show that was pro shot and some other US show that was also pro shot and up for downloading. That's cool.

I wish more bands would do that. Like the Sums with SBM.

Not to mention the garage tour where they play in random fans garages. That's the defintion of a down to earth band i think.
