It's just for a One Piece movie (not for the series) and I bet it'll be only at the credits, so why the fuss about it?

Because it's Avril Lavigne and she divorced our hero, Deryck Whibley! AAARGH! :suicide:

I'm just kidding. I like the cover.

The cover is much different than to what I thought it'd sound like. Like this take of the song. Her vocals are really something here.

Just have to question though, what's with her covering songs from musicians she's involved with? Interesting!

Um, even if you count the 30sec clip of Fat Lip, I still wouldn't call this a pattern. In Too Deep was a live performance with Deryck, she didn't play it when Deryck wasn't with her.

So, in addition to this one Nickelback song, she's done covers of at least Bob Dylan, Joan Jett, Metallica and Green Day. I'm not sure if she's been involved with them, but I wouldn't say the same as you.

Even a 30 second clip. She's probably played the whole thing. I wasn't referring to the In Too Deep performance either. Not that there's anything wrong with her covering Fat Lip or How You Remind Me, or that those are the only covers she's done.

Saw this on Facebook and thought I'd share it here. Kind of humorous!

I kinda like it, it's catchy. It could've been a Taylor Swift song.

Ew. In europe me and my friends geeked out over Avril and her old shit, because she used to b e my hero and it makes me sad that THIS is the kind of music she does now.

I know it's cool to rip on her new stuff, but hey, it's not bad. I'm glad she's actually singing in the song and not doing any of that weird shouting stuff.

I actually was expecting the song to be at a faster tempo than what it is, but you can't deny how catchy it is regardless. I found it stuck in my afterwards upon first listen for awhile! Her vocals are quite nice here. It seems to me it could fit on Goodbye Lullaby, though.

She performed a new song "17" at Viper Room last week.

Ok so this might be me being a little too nostalgic, I miss being 16-17, I know it was only 5 years ago but I really miss it and the song fits with how I'm feeling.
So kudos miss lavigne for bringing back some good old memories.

It makes me feel insanely nostalgic, too, even though I am only 19 now. On the other hand, I didn't go through that kind of love she sings about...so maybe it's not nostalgia, and I just feel shitty about the fact that I totally wasted my own 17.

Anyway, I really do like the song.

I don't mind 17. A lot better than I expected.

Video for the new single.

Yeah, I know she's used a lot of makeup around her eyes for years, but I think this is a bit too much. Looking like some kind of a scary animal or something. Also, not a fan of the bed hair -style.

The sk8er boi look in this vid was a nice touch though.

I didn't like this song (it's so uninspired), but with this video it's much better.
