Songs About Death

Post by upperclasszero »

Hey, a few years ago my best friend died from leukemia, and every now and then i think about it all night, and i like songs about death, cause it makes me feel like everything will be alright, and that he's in a better place. Unfortunately i don't know a lot of songs about this subject. and out of the 7000 songs on my ipod, i could only find 10. if you have any suggestions, it would be much appreciated :) thank you!

if anyone is looking for some, i suggest:

Winter - Bayside
The Permanent Rain - The Dangerous Summer
Lee's Song - Reverse Order
Children of the beast embrace,
To scorn and the human race,
Consume the light that hugs the earth,
And aid the womb in giving birth,
To a group that will appear,
And guide you through this final year,
The dark armies then will come,
When the sum is 41

these songs don't necessarily address death, but if you interpret them the right way i think you will like them.

Just Breathe - Pearl Jam; *i really recommend this song
These Are the Days - The Exies
This Love, This Hate - Hollywood Undead
A Song to Sing When I'm Lonely - John Frusciante (of RHCP)
The Longest Goodbye - The Vanished

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Godspeed
Form Our Hands - River Flows

the first and only album by The Bridgeheads(Foreigners) is kind of dark ...

but if you wanna feel better about death you can listen to Switchfoot or Falling up ...
This is Mark Allen Hoppus. He likes long walks on the beach. This, this is travis barker. He likes to be read poetry just before sunset. And me, I like to stick small pieces of furniture up my butt.
