Tips for being the opening band

Hey, my new band Game-21 is going to be playing at a little place called Rock City Studios, and we're opening for up these two other pop punk bands.
Do you guys have any tips for being successful as the opening act?

make sure your drummer doesn't bail on you 2 hours before.

Um... it's not hard. Play your music as best you can. You can only be as good as your music is. Make them interested in you. Get them pumped for the other bands. That's all an opening act is there to do... get the crowd pumped for the acts that matter.
