Billy Talent To Release Fourth Album

According to a recent interview, Billy Talent will be releasing a fourth record in the near future.
Drummer Aaron Solowoniuk commented on what's next for the band saying they do have plans to release Billy Talent IV.
"I’m really excited about IV as its going to be really new for us," he said. "We are making a big move to a new place to create it and it’s going to be absolutely wonderful."
The drummer also discussed the band's recent tour with Alexisonfire and Against Me! calling it the best tour he's ever done, despite the lineup not including the British hardcore group Gallows, who were scheduled to play with Billy Talent the last few months. When asked about Billy Talent's history, Solowoniuk said they understand what it took to make them successful.
"We’ve just paid our dues for so long that we will never take anything, like our popularity, for granted because it took us so long to get there," he said.
Although a release date is unknown, Billy Talent's next record will be their fourth in the group's 17-year existence. They've released three albums to date over the past seven years with all of them going Platinum in Canada and Gold in Germany.
Sounds good, I hope we'll get a new album around 2011, which will be rare, cuz they always tour for like 2 years after an album, only then they go to the studio to record a new one, and it always a gap of 3 years between their albums haha.
Anyways, its great news, cuz a friend of a friend of mine's who's living in Canada said he heard some rumor that Aaron is very sick with some serious disease and the band plan on breaking up due to this, so I'm happy those are just dumb rumors.

Billy Talent are okay, I've never been overly impressed with their music but it's not bad or anything. I can happily listen to it. Devil In A Midnight Mass is a great song to dance too as well. I'll still give this album as listen too but I didn't like III all that much not to say it was terrible though.

I love Billy Talent. I was a little disappointed that they moved away from their faster paced stuff with BT3 but I guess no one wants the same stuff over and over again. Looking forward to the new album!

Their drummer has multiple sclerosis...it's a very serious condition and I wouldn't call it "some disease." On them breaking up, I don't know, but his state of health is unclear.

BT is a great band...they have their own style...really there is no band like BT , and I am as excited about the new album as a person can be, because I think that the third album of theirs is the best one ...especially songs White Sparrows and The Dead Can't Testify

Yeah, I just wasn't sure what disease, but I guess its only rumors, no? my friend now told me he heard it was muscular degeneration what Aaron is having, so dunno about the multiple scierosis.. so its pretty serious if its true and rumor has it they are planning to break up cuz they don't want to continue without him..
Its good to hear from him thought that they are definitely making another album, hope it won't be their or his last..

He's had MS for a long time. This Is How It Goes was written about him and that was over 7-8 years ago. I'm not sure if the kind he has will for surely, you know... I hope it doesn't, I hope he lives a lot longer and sees his daughter grow up (at least I think he ha a daughter?).
All in all, new album would be sweet. But I think these interviews are blowing it up a little bit. It maybe another year before we know for sure.

Yeah.. this interview is nothing new really.. we can assume most popular bands are gonna do another album.. its more news if a band announces it won't be making any more albums.. but in the case that I heard these rumors about Aaron, its actually good to hear they will be making another album, and from him saying it, its also good. Yeah, some new info about this probably will come in like a year when they'll finish touring for III, they always tour for like 2 years in support of an album, that was the case with II.

Cool, I'll be interested in hearing a Billy Talent IV. The first two albums were great, II was probably my favorite. I could listen to that album straight through no problem.
As for III, it hasn't really grown on me well. But I have so much music to listen to right now, it kind of gets pushed to the wayside.

Can't wait for the new album! Last time they talked about it, they said it'll be faster and harder, a lot like the first album but still different than the whole first 3 albums, cuz they were a trilogy and the fourth album will be something new and won't be called Billy Talent IV. Finally they'll have to come up with a real name! haha

Am I the only one here who actually wants them to name the new album IV? Sure, it lacks imagination and creativity, but I think it adds to this bands uniqueness. No other band out there have named their albums like this (except for Godsmack who named one of their albums "IV"). Billy Talent has always been a very unique band to me, and the fact they've named their albums this way adds to this.

Led Zeppelins 1-4 albums were called I, II, III and IV, but I know what you mean, i think it's just cool haha.
