Anyone watch it?
Series 4 just finished last week
Ending well pissed me off! want to know what happened!!
anyways their going to be introducing a new cast (Again) for the next series

Oh yes! Skins is the best show ever. I liked the first cast more but the second one was allright too.

Yeh! I hope Cook totally decked that psychiatrist. Not a bad ending tbh but the psychiatrist character was introduced way too late in the series for me to care about what he was doing.

Jack Thorne (The Scouting Book For Boys) has been hired to pen the big screen version of E4 show Skins.
According to The Guardian, Thorne will write a movie for Film4 that brings together all the different casts of the popular teen drama. The show helped launch the careers of Nicholas Hoult and Dev Patel, while current lead Kaya Scodelario (Effy) will appear in Clash Of The Titans next month.
The programme, which revolves around hard-partying teenagers growing up in Bristol, recently wrapped up its fourth series with the shock death of Freddie McLair (Luke Pasqualino). A completely new cast, the show's third, is expected for its next run.
Thorne has written five episodes of Skins and also worked on Shameless and Cast Offs

yaa Chris FTW seems to me they are killing off 1 of the main cast on the 2nd last episode of the 2nd series of the current generation hmm?

I watched it and enjoyed it. I read some comments on the Skins facebook and from my newsfeed I think it's safe to say that most other people hated it.
Lots of people said shit like "Bring back Cook!" which just proves they're idiots because everyone said bring back the original characters when series 2 started, no doubt everyone will still watch it.

i really enjoyed it, so far the characters seem more real than in other generations though it's too soon

I was wondering if there was a thread for this show here!
It's quite possibly my favourite (besides one tree hill)
I'm a fan of the british series. Didn't think I would like the US series as much as I thought I did.
Just finished watching episode 1 of season 5 yesterday. I like the new cast, but in no one do they compare to the other gens. Minni is kind of annoying, but I think I'll come to like her character as the season progresses. Franky's cool. I'm glad she stood up to them in the end. Next weeks episode looks pretty awesome with the metal show.

I gave the US a try but couldn't stand more than 20min, maybe it because i loved the first gen so much, perhaps it's cos " i had already seen the episode"

I dont like the new Skins its far too serious
the new characters look shit
I think skins has actually gotten worse over the years
The 1st series was the best IMO
theres talk of a skins movie which will be based on the 1st gen and 2nd gen characters with some cameos of the 3rd gen
wonder who they will kill of this time?

Yeah, it's supposed to be released in summer 2011. The creators are actually apart of this aswell! I always wonder how they'll fit a series into a movie, but because it's based mainly on Gen 2, it'll be easy. Nicholas Hoult and apparently Dev Patel have signed on to recast their roles for the film aswell which is great.

I thought it was just some other show like Degrassi but my friend made me watch it with him and I have to admit, it’s pretty great.

I personally think that they look great, it might be different yeah but honestly I was bored of drugs &party which is basically what 2nd gen was about
