So I just came upon these similarties of Billy Talent's "Diamond on a Landmine" to The Police' "Roxanne" and Taking Back Sunday's "Cut Me Up Jenny". In the verse at least, it sounds all exactly the same!

Tell me if you guys see the similarities.

yeah I hear it Roxanne and Dimond on a landmine are the same on one part almost identical except for the guitar sound. Cut me up Jenny riff is a little different but it's still similar a little.

Yeah, in Cut Me Up Jenny I find it more similar in the beat and rhythm of the bass and drums, even though the guitar is a little different.

i do see a similarity.....but i mean, maybe they did it on purpose? as a praising of those bands?

Yeah, I could see this being a tribute to the Police and such. With the TBS song, I guess or they copied it or it was unintentional, I mean, Billy Talent III and New Again were recorded around the same time.

I actually think that Pocketful of Dreams' verse is also like Cut Me up Jenny.
