SUCK!!!!

The D string just sound's absolutely terrible. Also, i'll NEVER buy another guitar that doesen't have humbucker's.
Anything i can do to make it sound better?

With this guitar. I'd only be playing rhythm, can i get by with it?

Fender Squier are like the cheap low-range guitars, you shouldn't expect it to sound amazing. I have a real Fender Stratocaster and I like the sound of it but I do prefer my Telecaster.

And also changing the strings won't affect the sound too much.

You'd have to change your pickups and maybe get a distortion pedal or amp modeler if you want to make a difference in sound. Although I wouldn't put a lot of effort into trying to get your Strat to sound amazing unless you plan on using it as your main guitar for a long time.

It'll do a little bit, like if you were to change gauges.

But yeah, in the bigger picture the stings alone won't dramatically improve your tone.

i recommend going into guitar center and trading that one in for a used guitar. you can find refurbished guitars with scratches and stuff like that, that sound waaaaaay better than that squire guitar :P
