Can We Vote To Get Someone Banned?

This is a serious question guys, this hasn't been discussed before, what if we all agreed that someone's behavior on the forum is just intolerable, and we want him out, but he's either too close to an admin/mod so he gets unbant within hours, or none of the mod staff thinks he deserves a ban, do you think members should have the power to vote in a thread, so that the guy gets perma bant if more than 80% of the voters actually want him out?

PS: If this ever gets approved, i came up with this idea, so YOU CAN'T DO IT TO ME!

I think thats a really good idea. I just don't think banning people for no apparent reason is good. Unless there is a good reason behind banning the person - like Madjid said - I'm all for it.

Yup, you're 100% right, but we wouldn't wanna get someone out for some lame reason, cough*banning Sum41Slave just because he has the worst screen name ever*cough, We'll do it when someone really pisses everyone out, and makes it impossible for us to enjoy this site.

This is why there's a difference between a "user" and a "moderator".
No, you can not vote to get someone banned. No, I will not ban someone simply because you don't like them. We already had this type of thing done once, and I don't want it to happen again.

If you tell us who you want banned and your reason for, deciding that it is a good one, us, the Mods, will discuss weather he should be but like Kyle said, we can't just ban someone cause you don't like him. Unless he breaks some kind of rule their is nothing really we can do.

So who is/are these people?

Yeah, it's like there's a little loophole where some guy could just be so annoying and such an idiot by nature and not break any rules. Technically, it would be wrong to ban the guy based on how much he's hated on a forum if he's following all the forum rules, because bans and warnings are decided on by what rules are broken.
