I thought Foo Fighters were rock, songs like Everlong, Monkey Wrench, My Hero and I'll Stick Around is just awesome.

Here's a solution; DON'T LISTEN TO THE RADIO. Just listen to whatever you want, whenever you want.

I quite like The Pretender when I frst heard it and it got me me excited for that album. then it was released, and it kind of disapointed me. hence why I'm not getting myself excited for this album!

Oh shit that fucking ruled! Love the Foos, possibly be 3rd/4th favourite band, and can't wait for the new album. Dave Grohl is an absolute legend. When I found out about the music video competition, i was like 'SHIT!' but then realised its for USA only, and was like 'SHIT!'.
fuck this signature nonsense

I know what you're talking about. The Pretender was probably my favorite FF song at the time it was released. I loved it so much.. so much energy, so heavy and cool.. couldn't stop listening to it. I mean, I loved All My Life, Everlong, Learn to Fly and whatever.. but The Pretender was so different and heavy! a weird direction for FF, it was like their SBM haha! Then when the album came.. it wasn't that great of an album.

I heard Dave say somewhere there was not a single note palyed on an acoustic guitra in this record. It would probably be pretty heavy.

Didn't say it was a shitty album or anything.
Long Road to Ruin, Summer's End and Come Alive are awesome!! especially Come Alive, one of my all-time favorite FF songs.. but though, I think except these four (maybe also "Stranger Things Have Happened" which I think is very unique and all), the album doesn't live the expectations, especially after such a hardcore massive like The Pretender.

Yeah, The Pretender was pretty epic. The rest of the album kind of had the same effect for me as it did some of you guys. I don't mind the Foo Fighters. I just don't know their albums all that well.
