Haha, yeah I'm pretty cheap! It took me a solid minute to grab a good amount of change while not using up any of the dollars I had. He probably thought, "wtf is taking this guy so long to grab money out of his pocket?!" Even after I gave him the money we had to sit across from him on the subway! I sometimes broke the awkward silence with a drunken, "Grrreen Daaay!!" and the devil horns. Then he'd point to me and smile like, "Hell yeah!"Simon wrote:Haha, you cheap bastard. I would've easily given him 10 bucks or at least all the coins for having an opinion on that. Especially if I was drunk, I would've probably given him everything I had on me and my pants as well .. and then get raped and regret it.Jeremy Kill wrote:When my friends and I went to Blink-182 we met a homeless man in the subway station. We were drunk and he could've been drunk, but we talked about the show and the guy told us how he preferred Green Day over Blink-182. He asked me for some change and I had to fiddle in my pocket, choosing only the nickels and dimes (avoiding the dollars).

If you were able to have an awkward silence, you were not drunk.

Well, I can't say for sure if it was awkward, but any period of not talking was filled with that.

It's either a sober awkward pause or a drunken moment of tiredness. May be you were just tipsy, you little girl.

Re: Every Concert You've Ever Been To
Saw AC/DC in Stockholm last night, and they we're simply awesome! Angus Young really is not from this planet, you cannot be that good with the guitar. One of the sickest things I have ever witnessed. Definately the best concert I've been to this far, by miles!
The opening act, by the way, we're Hardcore Superstar; and they simply sucked. Every song started promising but quickly just faded away. They failed horribly trying to warm up the crowd, but credit to them for trying.

The Tea Party (Tuesday, August 23, 2005)
Def Leppard (Tuesday, August 23, 2005)
Blink-182 (Friday, July 31, 2009)
I added opening acts too because my list isn't really a list! Too busy pre-drinking before Blink, so we missed Fall Out Boy and (I think) All American Rejects. None of my friends wanted to go to those ones anyway, haha.

I'm going to see Green Day on the 21st against my will, this is why you should never have a girlfriend that loves a band you don't like. You get dragged to them anyway. I can't wait to drag her to Bring Me The Horizon now xD

Exactly. You're complaining about a girlfriend who likes Green Day? You've got problems...

It's that fact that I don't like Green Day at all, I never have.Simon wrote:Exactly. You're complaining about a girlfriend who likes Green Day? You've got problems...
Re: Every Concert You've Ever Been To
Did you ever go to a belgian one?CUNT wrote:we're pretty lucky with festivals here, there's loads to choose from and with the UK being quite small, it's easy to travel to a festival the other side of the country. even going to festivals in Western Europe isn't too much of a mission, and they're fairly cheap.
You should check out Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop.
Amazing line-ups!
Werchter:
Green Day, Faithless, Muse, Editors, 30 Seconds To Mars, Paramore, Rise Against, Rammstein, Pink,Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire, Them Crooked Vultures, ...
Pukkelpop:
3OH!3, Against Me!, All Time Low, Bad Religion, Blink 182, Eels, Iron Maiden, The Kooks, Limp Bizkit, NOFX, OK Go, Parkway Drive, Placebo, The Prodigy, Queens Of The Stone Age, Snow Patrol, The Tellers, White Lies and many many more.
