Really excited for Billy Talent X!!
Also, Enter Shikari's new one was just released now and it's awesome. Useless ID's new one called "Symptoms" is also coming February 14.
Hopefully, the new Offspring will be good too.

They said they're going straight back into the studio in March 1st. Remains to be seen if the album comes out this year or early next year. They said they're having so much fun that they wanted to release another album this year.

Yellowcard
The Most Anticipated 2012 list is up at @absolutepunk and Yellowcard made the list! Go check it out www.absolutepunk.net

but how do we know all these are going to happen? Green Day played a secret show of all new songs i know, but since when were they in the studio? Tenacious D- has been talking about "3-D" for years now, but still no evidence of them recording. And i havent heard anything about new gob material. Are you guys just guessing? because this time of year last year we pretty much had most new 2011 albums release dates....let alone an album name.

Are you fucking kidding me? :glad:

This time of the year? Two weeks into 2012 and we should have all the dates for all year? Give me a break!

Of course some of those aren't confirmed. SBM was supposed to come during 2010, but what happened. Green Day has the album pretty much written and demoed, and as effective as they are, it probably wouldn't take long for them to release the album shortly after recording process. Gob on the other hand is working on its own and isn't that active, so it's up in the air when the record will be released. Even though the songs are pretty much written, Tom said they still have a lot to do. But hey, it's only January!

I don't believe Green Day is gonna release anything any time soon. And aren't they gonna make an American Idiot movie this year?

Back on topic - Motion City Soundtrack, Yellowcard, and Billy Talent. Gonna be a good year!!

Why so? They have all the songs already, so why would they postpone the recording process? Also, it's just a rumor that Billie Joe would be in the movie, so I'm not sure how much the band would be involved in that. And even if they had a lot to do with the filming, the recording process wouldn't take that long for them, since everything is pretty much ready for recording.

i said most. Well, the ones that i was looking foward to for the year. Sum 41, Rise Against and Foo Fighters.
But, im pretty pessimistic for 2012. Probably just cause 2011 was just so unbelievably awsome

"Most" is still an exaggeration. Unless just over 50% is enough to use the word "most". And I would still doubt it.

I check this wikipedia page very often, and it seems that unless it's officially coming out people just put up their favorite artists cause half of them didn't have something new come out last year so it's hard for me to rely on it. Hopefully Brand New come out with something. Lostprophets already came out with a new song and their album comes out I think the same day as The Used's album comes out.

More than anything I am excited for Muse, maybe even more so than blink and the Sums because I knew I was going to like them, and I knew they wouldn't disappoint, I also somewhat knew what to expect, but Muse could go any which way now. I hope there's more focus on guitar than the last album, but not counting on it.
