Grammy Awards are the Oscars of music, not shitty awards. Titanic won 11 oscars but i don't like it, so ?

really surprised by this. i'm just mindfucked by the fact that out of all the good songs and albums they've released, THIS song gets nominated. i would think a song like Pieces or something would have been worthy back in like 2004/2005.
also, skrillex and shaggy were nominated? wtf?

so, where is your point ? How is Titanic as bad as Lady Gaga or Usher? It's not that I don't like her, it's that music like that is nothing but a bunch of shitty stuff, shitty singing, shitty lyrics(especially this), and rich men putting money into their arms, and in 1997 the amount of bad movies or music wasn't as high as it is now, so the thing that Titanic won the award for the best movie wasn't so surprising, nor unbearable(cause it's still a pretty decent movie), but it sure was affected by the fact that Titanic made so much money and people got so emotionally attached to it, and there were better movies than Titanic in 1997, like Good Will Hunting or L.A Confidential
but still I think that Oscars are much more legit than these music awards, probably because the movies that have won over the years may not have always deserved it the most, but at least they were good or great, but the music that wins the Grammy awards, it's often as shitty as the rapper in the Rebeca Black's song...

I was beyond stoked when I read that The Sums are nominated for a Grammy. The rest of those bands don't stand a chance next to the Skumfuks. I can't wait until voting opens! Shocked it's BIME though.

i can't believe it's a grammy nomination. that song doesn't even have its own wikipedia page (yet). like i thought this was just gonna be some obscure award cuz the thread title doesn't specify, but holy shit, can't believe they got one, especially considering their heavily diminished popularity and complete lack of publicity for sbm. good for them. i know it's a stretch, but i'd love to see them actually win the thing.
