If Mitt Romney is elected, can I come live with one of you outside the US?

that guy is the one who said that airplanes should have "real windows", right?
Well if you'd like to live in the 4th Reich, Spain or Greece would be a nice choice.

I don't care who wins that election, they both seem to be completely useless at that job, but since Obama has already proven he's worthless maybe they should give Romney a chance.

i'm not the biggest supporter of Obama, but to be fair he has done quite a bit.

i feel the problem lies in our Congress. Bi-partisan cooperation largely does not happen and that's what is hindering any real change... but electing Romney would be like George Bush version 2. The guy's a moron and flips sides on every topic, ever.

It doesn't matter who becomes the president in the US, nothing's going to change at all anyway. Either he tries to change something and he dies or he just falls in the old tracks and keeps doing the same shit that has been done for ages. The president does not control the economy + he's going to ''inherit'' the work of the former president, which will have to be dealt with but will be found impossible to do so...

You can't just change something without expecting a radical result, imagine a president who would want to shut down CIA or military, do you think he could easily do it, just like that? Assassination is as common in the US as selling a chicken, however people are still stupid enough to believe that it has no political connection whatsoever. They will rather believe that there is always some ordinary citizen who just one day decides to be a professional assassin and kills somebody.
A president can be two ways, either he wins the chair and finds out that change is impossible, or he had known it before he got elected.
This world is run by money, not presidents. Equal rights for all, special privileges for none, the sweet definition of democracy which sadly feels like an ironic statement, very sadly.

Haven't you ever thought about how much the campaign of a politician costs and how much the campaign affects ordinary citizen ? I still don't understand how people can call voting legit when the person who gets the chance to be elected has to be rich to begin with. Political campaigns are dirty games, with the main factor being that there are professional people who are educated to fuck with people's minds and get their candidate elected.

Democracy is a joke, in a hundred years from now, the richest people will be those who never actually accomlished anything at all, but inherited everything. In a way, we will go back to rich respected families and poor fucked families, all over again.

Nah, democracy is not really a joke, but however this form of democracy is. Put a piece of paper in a box every two years and the sit still in the boat and pretend your opinion is worth as much as anyone else's. No, in my perfect world it should be anarchy were you're allowed to do whatever you want as long as you don't stop anyone else from doing what they want, however people are idiots so that wouldn't work either.
