Slinky Poppy sorta punk bass sound?

Hey ive been messing around with my amp for weeks and bass setting trying to get that sorta metalic slinky poppy punk sounds but i CANT! im convinced its either my bass strings or amp, im guessing strings but what should i replace??

When it comes to strings, id say get new Stainless Steel Round Wound Bass Strings. When it comes to bass, id say jus get a bass thats made for rock like fender, washburn (not all), ect... When it comes to amp settings, i really dont no but u can mess around with it a little more.

its mostly the bass that will change the sound
i reccomend getting a fresh set of strings

You sound like you want the kind of sound a Music Man Stingray delivers, but those cost up in the thousands.

YES HE NEEDS A NEW SETTING OR SOMTHING
ok from exsperiance jason ur bass hardley sounds like a bass u have set the settings like its a guitar get my bro to look at the amp ok becuase it aint the bass or stringsits ya amo setting 100% sure

hey kane i got settings that sounds like bass, just im thinking a new set of strings will go good, my only problem is that i havent replaced the strings for ages and they need a new set im guessing..
