SOUNDS LIKE..... (THE OFFICIAL COMPARISON THREAD)

The intro to with me sounds like a song I wrote called "I don't know", except my song has the part done on bass instead of acoustic guitar.

Anyway, the riff in "Underclass Hero" reminds me of "Dumpweed by blink-182. The vocal parts (not the lyrics) of "Confusion" remind me of relient k. Song structure of "Best of me" reminds me of "Wake Me Up When September ends". "King of Contradiction" reminds me of "Take back" by green day.

Overall, I don't think that Sum 41 has much originality in their music, but who says you need to to it first to do it best?

They sound similar cuz they're basically the same chords and when Josh Taylor [AT's vocalist] sings over the riff, it's the same.

lol but yeah its the same riff.
and AT doesnt like say that they copied them, they just dont want to get sued for "stealing" sums riff even though AT wrote it in 2005...

I just realized the first rehearsal video that Sum 41 did sounded like Happy Holidays, You Bastard by Blink 182.

If you compare the "I'll never talk to you again" part with the last 20 or so seconds of the video you should be able to hear it.
