I'd probably be listening to another pop-punk band or '90s alternative rock.

Why'd you so sure Deryck would get famous without SUm 41?
and if so, so probably with another band which with Deryck would be pretty sweet though, although no Dave, Cone or Steve , yet if Sum never existed we couldn't know how great those guys are and we wouldn't care , i guess.

He's very talented in many ways. He still would've been the same person with the same ideas, and he would've been famous for being in another band.

Well with that i agree no doubt. I mean, the guy is a great songwriter and vocalist (and showed us the other side in "look at me" which i think is amazing vocally) ,and also plays the guitar, piano and drums (and automatically, every guitarist can learn bass quickly, so he could be a bassist if he wanted), so yeah, he would definitely be the same man, the thing is if he could ever get so famous with another band as with Sum 41.
Plus, he could be like, maybe drumming in some other band ,who knows - i mean, he can drum and stuff, so he could find himself in a different position without the sums, kinda like Dave Grohl back with Nirvana and now with the Foo Fighters.

Unless Deryck was the frontman for that new band, I don't think anyone would really notice him or the band had Sum 41 not existed.
