I don't know for sure because there doesn't seem to be an official announcement of a bonus track/deluxe version of the album - we just know there are bonus tracks that have been recorded. I'm hoping the pledgers automatically get the bonus track/deluxe version though.jacobbadillo41 wrote:I did not know where to put this comment, do not you think it would have been nice to add picks to pledge music? It would have been something really cool, I pre-ordered an signed vinyl my question is whether it will be in deluxe edition or normal?

if it had bonus tracks I think who pre ordered cd / vinyl should have the deluxe edition to support the band before and during the recording process.
Anyway we will know very soon

I'm so happy this is the first single. Ever since I heard Deryck talk about it in an interview I have been curious to listen to it.Mitchell wrote:Oh hell yes!Hey everyone. It is a great new, Deryck told that "War" is the personal song of 13 Voices, would be like Walking Disaster.

I'm really excited we're getting another new track, but I may hold off on this until October. Is anyone else with me? I kind of just feel it's not close enough to the release for me to listen. I just don't want to hear too many tracks before. With SBM, I had heard Skumfuk and SBM, and that was it for me. We'll see!

Too excited to hear more new Sum 41 for that! Especially after hearing Deryck talk about "War" and the meaning of it. Glad to hear they announced it right now and not like week or two early!SumGeek wrote:I'm really excited we're getting another new track, but I may hold off on this until October. Re:
Why would you wait until October? We have waited long enough! A single will relieve the anxiety a bit while we wait . You will be surprised either now or when the album is released, so there's no difference, and you're getting the full song plus a video! Let's just hope there's not a fucking leak again... By the way, can somebody explain me what's the difference between a regular song and a single? or why isn't FMOD considered as a single?SumGeek wrote:I'm really excited we're getting another new track, but I may hold off on this until October. I'm considering it. Did the same with SBM, only Skumfuk and the title track, and held off with BIME. Was the right choice.SumGeek wrote:I'm really excited we're getting another new track, but I may hold off on this until October. Is anyone else with me? There is a difference. When hearing an album front to back for the first time, the less you've heard before the better. Especially now with only 10 songs on the album, having heard already 2 of them before won't give you that many new songs. I mean, instead of "Oh shit, oh shit, this is awesome, oh shit" -experience, you'll be having "Oh shit, ah I know this one already, oh shit this is awesome, nah I've heard this one before already, oh shit" -experience.Roach41 wrote:Why would you wait until October? Same exact thing with Christmas presents. You most likely already know some presents beforehand, but I'd rather keep the surprises at maximum and not "ruin" the unwrapping experience beforehand.
Single is promoted by the label. They will push it to the radio stations and advertise it as much as they can (or want, *cough* Island *cough*). FMOD was just released and uploaded online. All the radio plays were initiated by the station itself or the requests by fans.Roach41 wrote:By the way, can somebody explain me what's the difference between a regular song and a single? or why isn't FMOD considered as a single?

Re: Sum 41 new album PledgeMusic
Some time ago I might have said the same, that it's good to wait... But as I experienced (especially this year, with many new albums I'd waited for so much), there're just less and less songs that catch me immediately. I always give an album more than one shot, I listen to them more and some songs just grow on me and I start to like them, which would'n t have happened if I only listen to them once.
So, maybe if I only listened to War when the album comes out, I may wouldn't like it and left it there (ofc not, 'cause it's Sum 41... even if I wouldn't like it, I'd try and listened to it many times, but you know, theoretically). I would be disappointed. But here's a chance to focus only that song and maybe I won't like it first, but it can grow on me and with it, its feelings, its message can grow on me too, which I guess will represent the whole album. It can prepare me to the new album and helps to accept and understand the album faster.
Does it make any sense? I don't know, I just f*cking want to hear the song!

Re: Sum 41 new album PledgeMusic
"War" sounds like a decent name for the first single. Like you guys I'm looking forward to it too!
Been listening to the teasers again - given that it's a personal song I wonder whether this teaser might be part of the single?

My guess is that this teaswr is 13 voices. The lyrics 'they say' 'When I say' make it seem pretty likely to me as Deryck explained it was about everyone having an opinion about how to get back on his feet and him eventually listening to himself.Zell1010 wrote:"War" sounds like a decent name for the first single. I listened to 30 seconds of the other track and it sounded soooooo good. It's going to be tough waiting it out.

Then again, Blood In My Eyes was released less than a month before the album release. Now there's a 6-week gap inbetween.

Re: Re:
I see your point! Hard decision to make but I think I'll just watch it hehe . I'm sure that the whole album will be a blast, but I also think that if you listen to FMOD and WAR now, you will probably feel as if they were the 2 pillars on which the album will build when you hear it!TomiT14 wrote:There is a difference. Re: Sum 41 new album PledgeMusic
There's no way I'd have the willpower to gold off until October. The most I will hold off on the song will probably be a couple of hours because I'm pretty sure the song will be released while I'm at work and I'll have to wait until I get home to listen to it, haha.
The song pretty much comes out tomorrow. I'm quite excited, haha.
