Official album announcement?

Maybe a song like Skumfuk for SBM?

There we go:

http://www.stereoboard.com/content/view/194059/9
Sum 41 will headline the Kerrang! Tour 2016.

The Canadian pop-punk band, which currently consists of Deryck Whibley, Cone McCaslin, Tom Thacker and Dave Baksh, will celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band by heading to Dublin, Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Norwich, Manchester and London between February 10 and February 19, 2016.

Tickets go on general sale at 9.00am Monday, October 5. Special guests for the tour are still to be confirmed. Meanwhile, check out some classic Sum 41 below.

I guess what's big for them as a band right now, isn't as much for us fans at this point.
Awkward, but understandable.

As a fan there is so much to expect when they put together the words "Big" and "Announcement"...
I'd be lying if I said this wasn't a bummer but I totally understand why it's a big thing for the band. They've been off the road (tours) for the past 2 years, so of course it is big!

A UK Tour in February is close enough for some sort of European tour in the near future!
And while we're at it, why do they sign up for a tour in early 2016 when there is an album in the making? Maybe this is a clue to when we'll get to know the release date? Probably not more than 1 or 2 new songs in the set in February if they even finish recording the album by then.

This could be too optimistic (like always), but it isn't impossible and it sure is better than soon xD

No worries, I totally get your and their point.

I just think this is a 'bummer' because I was kinda hoping for - I don't know - a new video update, song clip,... or whatsoever.

I totally understand they're fucking excited to get back on the road because that's what they do best. I'm sure they'll kick ass.

Don't forget the album has to be released before 31 march 2016. Otherwise we all get our money back. So it has to be done.

My initial reaction to the Big Announcement post yesterday was "YES! They are going to hit the road again! Fingers crossed for Europe!" :glad:

To me, this is big enough. We all know that the album process is still at its early stages, and that they are not getting a label before the recordings, so I don't know what you guys were expecting. :silly:

I'm already super excited to hear how this new 5-piece arrangement plays out! :2cool4u:

Browsing through the Facebook comments, I found that they will be playing in Lima, Peru in December. Just waiting for the organizer to announce it.

About the Euro tour, all the confirmed dates are now announced. There might be some in the works, but nothing solid yet. But I guess we'll know soon enough.

Seems that Glasgow and Manchester ran out of the pre-sale tickets already. :2cool4u:
