What is the most epic part from any Sum 41 song ever?

This. Every fucking wordJeremy Kill wrote:I can't choose only one part, but the majority of them will be coming from Screaming Bloody Murder, for sure. These are in no particular order:
1. Over My Head - Bridge
2. Screaming Bloody Murder - Bridge & Final Chorus
3. Jessica Kill - @1:38 "BREEEEEEEEEEATH" until 1:50
4. Holy Image of Lies - 0:33 to 1:13, 1:46 to 2:48
5. Sick of Everyone - 1:53 to 2:20
6. Blood In My Eyes - 1:06 to "So much more FUUUUUUUUUN" and 2:11 to "All of this blood in my EEEEEEYES"
7. Back Where I Belong - Final Chorus "Back where I belooooooooong"
Skumfuk as an entire song is pretty epic itself.

Not that skumfuk is bad or any thing. I just dont see it as an "epic" song. Like its cool- but i see it as a fun little dark twisted song. So- its not really in my category of "epic". So i do find it strange how you rate the whole song as epic= whenever there are such songs like Holy Image Of Lies in which those songs in the full ARE epic!Jeremy Kill wrote:Yyyyyyup!cladam41 wrote:I would say this about holy image of lies. I think the ending is, when it's just Deryck and the piano. But not the whole song either.cladam41 wrote:I would say this about holy image of lies. Cause it is without a doubt- THE most epic sum 41 song...Jeremy Kill wrote:Skumfuk as an entire song is pretty epic itself.

Re: What is the most epic part from any Sum 41 song ever?
oh shit, there's really a ton to choose from. my top few (in no real order) would have to be:
1. the jessica kill breakdown (especially the scream right before it when everything but deryck goes silent, that shit's b.a.).
2. the king of contradiction ending (although i realized years later that it's a huge sabbath rip-off - check out the song "children of the grave").
3. the "SACRIFICEEEEE" and then breakdown moment in "watb."
4. when 88 gets thrashy (duh).
5. mr. amsterdam's ending breakdown, just the way there's nothing but that sick drum fill and then all hell breaks loose for like a minute.
6. i actually think in slipping away when it goes silent and then the drums and strings kick in for the final section is bamf as hell. still think that's one of the most underrated sums songs.

I can see what you mean when you're comparing it to Holy Image of Lies. Lots of epic times have happened in my life where the soundtrack to those moments was Skumfuk, so that's what I relate them to. I love how it sounds in my car too; much more depth than with just headphones.cladam41 wrote:Not that skumfuk is bad or any thing. I just dont see it as an "epic" song. Re: What is the most epic part from any Sum 41 song ever?
i definitely agree with you on this one. Skumfuk is epic to me cause it happened to leak the day they played at Warped Tour here in Indy. (July 06th, 2010) so whenever i hear it, it reminds me of that Warped Tour and pretty much the rest of my summer. I love the song.Jeremy Kill wrote:I can see what you mean when you're comparing it to Holy Image of Lies. 2:15 through 2:40 in Mr. Amsterdam

1:05 through 1:16 in Angels with Dirty Faces
2:24 through 3:03 in I'm Not the One (Holy ShitFuck Yes)
2:02 through 2:52 in 88 (of course)
1:18 through 1:47 in The Jester
1:56 through 3:15 in Pull the Curtain
Reason To Believe
Skumfuk
Holy Image of Lies
Sick Of Everyone
Blood In My Eyes
Back Where I Belong
(too lazy to pick parts cause those songs are entirely epic)

-Most of BWIB
-Final chorus of Open Your Eyes
-Any given part of I'm Not the One (that amazing intro, amazing bridge, the buildup during that quick "don't wait for me")
-The second part of the Angels intro (one of my favorite guitar parts ever)
-The second half of the Noots chorus (all the layers of vocals just sound really good)
-The jibberish during the pre-verse of Mr Amsterdam (maybe this one's just me)
-The third verse of Billy Spleen (right before that awkward solo)
-The first post chorus of Always (with all the ooh's, again, maybe just me)

I forgot to mention the layering of the vocals in Pull The Curtain - especially the "Bring on the panic, the uncontrolled and manic" part.
AND
"Tell me something I don't want to know" - the harmony vocals there with the music behind it are epic as fuck.
Keep them coming!

I'm able to play the main Skumfuk riff from the beginning over and over and I won't get sick of it.. Ever.
