Awesome! Man, Blood In My Eyes is something special. When I first heard the two riffs from the updates (intro and main riff, even though I didn't know it at the time) I tried imagining what those riffs would grow into. I didn't know they belonged to the same song. Then we heard Matt and Tom (I think Stevo and Cone too) say how one of their favorite tracks was Blood In My Eyes. I started to get really excited for this song. Even on the album cover is the last line of the chorus. Now it's nominated for a Grammy against the Foo Fighters.

The way Deryck screams those lyrics right before the chorus gives me a chill every time. "Thank you for all the pain cause it made it be so much more fun" and "And I can't see straight anymore with all of this blood in my eyes."

I don't know why I just gave a spiel on the song, but ever since it got nominated for a Grammy, I listen to this song through different ears.

If it wasn't the single then it wouldn't be played on the radio or nominated for an award.

Wow, in top 10! I hope that means they'll take this Grammy home in 2012!

EDIT: Foo Fighters #4. Hmm.

If you had itunes, you'd see it was released as a single on itunes.

Well, never knew it was a single (even only iTunes single), just remember Tomi saying Stevo and Cone told him they wanted either this or Back Where I Belong as the second single but decided to release something more radio-friendly in the end (BYDWK). But the fact its nominated doesn't mean it was a single. Foo Fighters' "White Limo" was never a single though they made a promotional video for it before the album was released.

Yeah I mean it's a single on iTunes for some reason, but I guarantee it's not an official single. It would have had a mention by the band at least. But yeah, from the beginning this and SBM wee my two favourite songs on the record. The Grammy nomination and this hasn't really changed much tbh. Hearing the heavy metal riff in the studio updates was one of the bset moments of the waiting for the album.
fuck this signature nonsense

I don't think it was released as a single. It was released the same way as March Of The Dogs back in the day, so not as an official single, rather just as an album track released before the album. Well, you could call it Digital Single or whatever MOTD was called too.

Blood In My Eyes was an option for a second single, but the band decided to go with more radio friendly Baby You Don't Wanna Know. They were thinking about releasing it as the third single, but after Deryck hurt his back they wouldn't have had the time to promote it properly.

OH MY FUCKING GOD, I listened to the the song, the one on the first place, it is extremely unoriginal, contains the gayest chorus I've ever heard(and that comes from a man who has accidentally listened to Justin Bieber's song Baby) and the clip is also unbelievably pathetic ...

If that song really was the best song of all, I'd commit suicide in a second, thank god that it is just an opinion of some gay fish, and that good music still exists and is made, just isn't recognized ...

I hope you mean Blood In My Eyes by Sum 41, not Under and Over It by Five Finger Death Punch, cause the only thing they deserve is death, slow, painful, pathetic ...
