Okay, so this is actually more for my sister than it is for me. There's a contest going around sponsored by Glee, the TV show. It is called "Glee Give a Note", and if you want to read about it, I will link you to it in a couple clicks.

Basically, Glee is giving money to music programs at schools around the USA/North America/ World / I really don't know where but I am going to continue with this... and my sister's school needs some votes. They are going hard trying to get them, and my sister would really appreciate it if you guys would vote for her school. All it takes is one click, lol.

If not, I completely understand. If you guys would be willing to, thank you very much.

They need it a lot worse than they used to.

For the longest time, they had this sound guy who would bring all of his equipment to the school and provide it to them for FREE, so they didn't need money for musical equipment or anything, but then a year ago he filed a lawsuit against the school because some asshole stole his equipment from his car that was parked in the parking lot, and now the music program has to actually hire someone and pay a LOT of money to put up concerts and stuff.

My sister was also telling me how the pianos they have are getting really messed up as a result of the horrible heating/air conditioning at the school... I don't know if that makes sense because I am not an expert with pianos, but I'm sure it's at least a small problem.

The auditorium that they perform in has been around for over 50 years, and the seats are beginning to fall apart. I think they were trying to put together money to improve the seating and the auditorium in general, but as a result of having to pay for a sound guy and stuff, they were forced to use that money towards the actual concerts... so they're down to possibly cancelling some concerts, as well as maybe even folding as a program in the near future due to the lack of funding.

ANYWAYS, this is just an easy way to get some quick cash! haha. The school has jumped from 5th page in most votes (when I first posted this thread) all the way to 3rd page, so they're getting up there!

That's actually awesome what they'll be doing for a school. I remember in 7th grade at my elementary school we had something similar to this and a bunch of schools in Ontario had a Canadian musician come to their school and give a speech sort of thing and give money and new instruments for the music department. One school got Shania Twain even, but mine got Keshia Chante.
