Soundwave Revolution Festival cancelled

Post by TomiT14 »

Soundwave wrote:It is with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of the Revolution Festival.

Many of the festival bands will still be coming to Australia in that time period and team up to bring you some very special shows. These will include multi band/mini festival line-ups in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. We will be announcing these events in the next 7 days.

Tickets purchased online will be refunded automatically as soon as it can be processed. If you purchased from an outlet, refunds will be available next week from point of purchase.
So, the festivals have been cancelled, no idea why. In a week we will know if The Sums will go there anyway.

I hope it won't compromize the french shows just before soundwave revolution... I know we're not allowed to complain but...

Anyway I think they'll try to replace it by other shows in Australia. They did the Soundwave revolution because they had to cancel the previous shows so this time I think they'll do their best to play.
We must use our voices as a flag.
And make it resonate in every building, in every head.

The youth is raising up in burning cages, not just pretences.

We are the solution.

In a way I'm psyched about this, I didn't wanna pay the $160 to go to Soundwave so I didn't get tickets, so it may mean they come back and do some smaller shows like they were meant to last time when they bailed on us :suicide:

So apparently it was cancelled cuz the second headliner band of the festival pulled out in the last minute. Too bad we won't know what this band was anyway and it seems such a stupid reason to cancel a whole event, especially as one of the two headliners was Van Halen which are making their first tour since 2007, so it's pretty big and all and just enough, or just give some other kinda big band on the bill the headliners spot and that's it. I mean, w'e're talking about one band pulling out, this shit happens, you shouldn't cancel a five date festival cuz of that.

EDIT: Now I see they had Alice Cooper on the bill.. I think he's more than enough to be a worthy co-headliner to Van Halen, what the fuck is up with this cancellation.

I dunno what is with this cancellation, it's weird. I was wondering if it was blink that canceled, but they would've still been touring America and would've never even been on the list. So I dunno who it was.
