Cool! I bet the song was reworked by Cone for the OpMD or maybe it's just left the way it was cuz It really didn't sound like Sum 41 so Cone used it for Operation.

Maybe this is the song in its original form.
"The Cone song" is hard to determine, since there are lots of them. That's why Stevo called them C-sides.
Like Everyone Else was one of the first titles we heard for SBM, but it didn't make the record.
We're The Same (B-side for Japanese version) has nothing to do with Like Everyone Else.
If I remember correctly, the intro for Like Everyone Else has some whistling or something similar. At least that's what I remember Cone saying about the song.

yep it was, what he told me (about We're The Same):
I wrote We're The Same a long time ago and at the time I thought maybe it could be a OpMD song but then Deryck really liked it so we turned it into more of a Sum 41 -ish sounding song so thats why there's probably a little mix of the 2 sounds.
Amin: We heard about a song that Cone wrote during Underclass Hero's session where he sung, but it never has been released. Will this one be on the new album ?
Deryck: NO I DON'T THINK THAT SONG WILL FIT ON THIS RECORD. THAT SONG HAS STILL NEVER BEEN FULLY COMPLETED YET. MAYBE WE'LL RELEASE IT AS A B-SIDE OR SOMETHING.

Amin :Did you take part in the composition ? More precisely the composition of solos and lyrics.
Tom : I wrote a song for the sum 41 record and Deryck wrote the lyrics for the song, it's called "Panic Attack" it turned out awesome. The solo is sort of a collaboration of mine and Deryck's ideas. There's also a great song that Cone wrote called "Like everyone else", other than that Deryck wrote the songs.
Tom doesn't say a word about it being the UH B-side. Cone has written many songs, not just the one for UH.
Also, In September 2010, Tom told me that Jessica Kill is part of the Epic. And he was sure about that. Also, he said that "A Dark Road Out Of Hell" is the name of the 1st part of Epic. Even though he is part of the band, you can't fully trust him.
In that 2009 interview Deryck talks about the UH B-Side. Like Everyone Else was written for SBM, not for UH.
There are many Sum 41 songs written by Cone, but we only know of three so far:
-UH B-Side, written and sung by Cone, never finished.
-Like Everyone Else, written by Cone, finished, didn't make the cut.
-We're The Same, written by Cone and Deryck, Japanese B-Side.
The conversation I had about working titles in Croatia went something like this.
Tomi: There was also a title called Like Everyone Else.
Deryck: Yeah, wasn't that in the Japanese version? (Looking at Cone)
Cone: Like Everyone Else? No no no, that was We're The Same!
Deryck: ?
Cone: Like Everyone Else was the one with whistling (?) as the intro
Deryck: Oh yeah that one! That didn't make it.
Also, back in the day, Cone told that they don't have any plans to release the UH B-Side. It didn't fit in with the style of SBM either, so they just forgot it.
Like Everyone Else was one of the first songs written for SBM. So I see no connection how UH B-Side could be Like Everyone Else.

So funny that these sum41france questions are actually mine by the way...
I also think this has nothing to do with the song that Cone wrote during the UH sessions. They said it was a fast rock song, so it wouldn't fit with the Operation MD style, because when Sum 41 talk about a "fast" song, it must be really fast, definitely too fast for the operation MD...
They also talked about this song during Lex interview in november, at this time if this song was called "Like everyone else" they would have react, so as Tomi said I think there is three different songs. And one we'll probably not hear before a long time.

We must use our voices as a flag.
And make it resonate in every building, in every head.
The youth is raising up in burning cages, not just pretences.
Gregorovich wrote:Well when Like Everyone Else comes out I might just slam it onto the end of SBM - unless Cone re-recorded it from scratch with Todd, which would suck.
All we know is that Cone wrote it. I really hope that he sings it too. Otherwise I would've preferred Deryck over Todd.
Yeah, I hope Cone didn't re-record it with Todd singing, I prefer Deryck singing it if Cone wrote the song for Deryck to sing, but it'll be definitely more interesting if Cone himself sings it, like the proposed unreleased UH b-side.
