At least you noticed Sum 41 memorabilia. The only thing worth while I got out of there that I remember. Was hearing, The Adventure by Angels and Airwaves =/

Does anyone know what's the model of Deryck's first telecaster?

Click to view the fullsize image.http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj50 ... 1284042246[/imgwidth]
There are different models.. I've only founded that he used this Fender Telecaster, I dunno anything else. It could be a deluxe model, or a custom, or an american ecc..I dunno. And I ask to discover it because I love this guitar and his sound and 1 month ago I started to play. So, in future, if I'll become a quite good guitarist I wanted to buy this model..

That's a Fender American Telecaster HH. This particular model has been discontinued since 2004 or 2005. It's also customized with only one pickup, one volume knob and a top-mounted output jack.

The closest you can get to that guitar without spending a lot of money is buying the new Fender Blacktop Telecaster HH.

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/prod ... sku=H61566

Even then, you'd have to customize the electronics and knobs to Deryck's specifications to get anywhere close to his sound.

First do somebody know what bass is in Houston? Cone's Jazz Bass?

http://fenderrocks.proboards.com/index. ... hread=1076
On the plate under the shirt says: "(...)in the "For Pieces" music video".

And a question: is that a Gretsch on the picture under the plate? Do anybody have more pictures of that concert?
Got a no-string guitar, got a SUNN Beta head, I'm a rock and roll star,
I ain't no musician, some things are stranger than fishin'!

I might have to guess the bass is the blue and gold one
The shirt in Pieces is in a pic above that plate, its the red/black stripe one..if you click on the link in the second quote it will take you to the Hard Rock website and a zoom view
Jer or Nic will probably know the guitar, hard to tell from the back but it doesn't look like a Fender or Gibson body shape

:D I mean it's Pieces... Or am I wrong?

The guitar is red, doublecut with a thin head, so it could be a Gretsch Malcol Young. I tought maybe somebody has a better/other bicture or copuld give me a link to it.

oh I get what you're saying now, yeah they screwed up the title

and yeah, if I had to guess I say it was GMY : http://www.myspace.com/urheremusic/phot ... 3A14307448}

I think he played a black one once, or that one painted black (bottom of second pic)
http://fenderrocks.proboards.com/index. ... thread=950

I have another photo of it on my computer logged as "December 13 2002 - San Jose (Live 105.3 Not So Silent Night)"

Thanks. That means it's a Hamer Flattop. I was a bit confused because of the red back.

HQ picture of Cone's bass
Sum41 Bassist, Cone McCaslin, used this bass on the 2002-2003 "Sum Like It Loud" world tour and all the drop d tuning songs on the "Does The Look Infected" album.

And even a few times in 2004.

by the way I hope they'll bring back some drop d tuning on this tour. I'm sure Deryck won't ahah
We must use our voices as a flag.
And make it resonate in every building, in every head.

The youth is raising up in burning cages, not just pretences.

We are the solution.
