Nothing wrong with either being corporate or thinking rock's dead. If Island's rock bands sell badly they're gonna move over to somehting else because they need to make money. And if whatever non-rock artist on their roster sells better than their rock bands i don't blame them for signing those kind of artists. And they must have had a reason to think rock's dead aswell.

fuckers dont care about the music
Children of the beast embrace,
To scorn and the human race,
Consume the light that hugs the earth,
And aid the womb in giving birth,
To a group that will appear,
And guide you through this final year,
The dark armies then will come,
When the sum is 41

That makes sense. It is a business after all and point of business is essentially to make money.

As for an increase in vinyl sales, the answer is obvious. BOBBYJAMES IS BUYING IT ALL!... And a bunch of hipsters too, hahaha.

I think the only rock artist Island still has that sales well is Bon Jovi.

42% of the vinyl sales are from me buying Gaslight records.
