Sum 41 / SBM discussion

I'm confident that the record will leak soon, mind you, it's only 28 more days until I have the hard copy in my hands! Does anyone think that the impact of Sum 41 being on a major label would cause for it to leak sooner, as compared to a smaller independent label such as Epitaph? I'm curious..

i think the record company probably isn't protecting this record as much as others, i just get the feeling the able isn't too big on them these days haha

well i mean think weve been sayin tht would leak for like a month now it hasent leaked yet, a bunch of ppl tht could possibly leak the album has it but they dont have the right names of the songs and they dont wanna look stuipid by leaking an album with wrong song titles so once the tracklist is officially confirmed tht would be the most likel time for it to be leaked

I think there is still something harder than not to listen to it.. Listen to it once, then never play it until record's out, haha.

that's fair, i think we all wanna know what the official track list is haha, and it would be nice to get an official press release from the record company with the album only 4 weeks away, i haven't seen much in the ways of official reviews on the album either, barely anything which is why i feel like the record company isn't paying attention and it sucks, yellowcard's paper walls got this treatment too and it's release suffered because of it, sure the band and record company have their differences, but idk, come on, step up and promote artists on your label

It makes some kind of sense. But I really think this album is not leaked yet for two main reasons:

1.- Promo copies have been sent in really small amounts. (If you think, sum 41 does not need big amounts of promo, only very specific and really reliable mass media. They just spread by themselves and their status).
2.- I'm pretty sure those copies are watermarked digitally. So, if the leak happens, the label is able to trace and know who leaked it, and is able to take some legal measures against that person or media. So... it's not worth the risk.

I'm pretty sure it's not leaked just by that and by the fact that the commercial copies (maybe are) still really protected into the respective factories, being pressed.Once them go out and arrive to stores, it would be more easy to leak. Commercial copies are not watermarked.

On wikipedia (I know anyone can post there) it says that screaming bloody murder was written by brown tom and it was originally called Panic Attack for his band gob but it didn't make it so they remade it with Sum 41 playing. Does anyone know if this is true or not? Also it says "I eat big fat shit" is a downloadable only in Korea and Japan.
